Tea Party Rallies Across Connecticut

Tea parties are underway across Connecticut --  but these gatherings will be anything but sugar and spice.

Tea party activists are gathering for protests across the state to rally against what they call "reckless government spending," according to the Associated Press.

The rallies are held each year on April 15, the deadline for filing taxes.  Protests will be held in Hartford, Greenwich, Norwich, New Haven and New Milford.

The largest rally will be outside the state capitol in Hartford where Tea Party patriots hope thousands will attend.  Last year, Tea Party officials claimed 5,000 protesters showed up -- other estimates were smaller.
