An 18-year-old from Middletown has been charged with stalking after trying to get close to a teacher he was warned to stay away from, according to police.
Gino Cuddy, 18, of Middletown, was arrested at Middletown High School in August 30, which was the second day of school.
Police said Cuddy went to the high school, at 200 LaRosa Lane, and tried to enter locked doors.
As he was speaking with police, Cuddy admitted to be obsessed with a teacher, who was haunting him in his dreams, according to the arraignment report.
Cuddy has a history of inappropriate behavior at school and staff and police had warned him not to contact the victim.
Cuddy was charged with third-degree stalking, which means the suspect is accused of "recklessly” causing another person to “reasonably fear for his (or her) physical safety by wil(l)fully and repeatedly following or lying in wait for such other person.”
He was also charged with loitering on school grounds and disorderly conduct.
Cuddy id due in court tomorrow.
