Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with a stabbing at a Norwalk barber shop.
When police responded to Zack's Barber Shop, at 135 Connecticut Ave. just after 3 p.m. on Monday, they found a 21-year-old victim bleeding profusely from a wound to the arm.
An ambulance crew treated the victim and transported him to the hospital.
Police began investigating and units stopped two known gang individuals and detained them for questioning, police said.
Investigators identified the 15-year-old as a suspect and were able to identify him through surveillance video, police said.
On Wednesday, police went to the teen’s home. He fled, police said, and they caught up with him on the other side of the Suncrest Village housing complex.
The teen was taken into custody and held for arraignment. His name has not been released because of his age.
He was charged with first-degree assault, third-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon, conspiracy, breach of peace and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Police said more arrests are possible.
