Teen Charged in Shooting of Other Teen in Hamden



    Hamden Police are investigating the shooting that injured a 17-year-old boy.

    Police have arrested a teen in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old Hamden boy on Sunday evening.

    The shooting happened at Dixwell Avenue and Dudley Street and was reported around 6 p.m. on Sunday, according to police.

    The victim was shot in the leg and groin and was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

    Another 17 year-old Hamden boy has been charged with robbery in the first degree with a dangerous instrument, assault in the first degree, carrying a pistol without a permit and larceny in the second-degree.

    His name has not been released. Police said he will be detained at the Juvenile Detention Center in Bridgeport and is scheduled to appear in court on January 10.
