Teen Tried to Kill Pregnant Girlfriend: Reports

A Norwalk teen is accused of trying to kill his pregnant girlfriend because he wasn’t ready to be a dad, and the girl’s family went after him in court on Monday/

Terrence Crawford, 17, of Norwalk, is accused of attacking his girlfriend in the woods behind Clay Street on Saturday night after she told him she was pregnant, the Connecticut Post reports

Then, he allegedly carried her off and left her on the ground, bleeding.

The teen told police that Crawford and his friend beat her. The girl also suffered a puncture wound and police found an 8-inch knife nearby, the Post reports. She is in the hospital with a punctured lung.

When Crawford appeared in court on Monday, several of the victim's family members attempted to attack him, the Hour reports. One tried to climb over the partition separating defendants from the rest of the courtroom.

Crawford’s bond was raised to $500,000, the Post reports.
