Two Bristol teens are accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of property and causing thousands of dollars in damage.
Bristol police have arrested two teens accused of stealing more than $30,000 worth of property while breaking into Bristol homes and causing thousands of dollars in damage.
Bristol police have been investigating multiple home burglaries over the last four months and have arrested two 17-year-old Bristol residents accused of committing five burglaries.
Police said most of the burglaries happened in the daylight hours when the homeowners were not home and the teens stole $30,256 worth of property.
Detectives have recovered about $11,255.00 worth of it.
The teens are also accused of smashing TVs, computers, furniture and other household items, causing more than $9,000 in property damage.
Police said the teens are also accused of stealing a $200 iPod from a-14 year-old they confronted while walking down the street.
The teens turned themselves in after learning that police had warrants charging them with five counts of burglary, larceny, criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit burglary, larceny and criminal mischief.
