The Family That Spends Time Together, Does Time Together

Meet the McCarthy Family (clockwise from top left): Rose, Maureen, Michael and the pensive Peter.

The McCarthy family of West Haven is clearly pretty tight. So when cops stopped by to serve an arrest warrant on Michael McCarthy, 24, all hell broke loose.

On Saturday night, he was in a garage working on a motorcycle, which police later determined was stolen.

As they tried to arrest him, Peter McCarthy, 69, aggressively approached an officer and smacked his hands away, landing the elder McCarthy in cuffs for interfering with police, cops said.

Cue Rose McCarthy, 44, who then tried to close the garage door on them, police said. She struggled with police and also got slapped with an interfering charge.

And then Maureen McCarthy, 40, enters the picture. She reportedly grabbed an officer from behind and cops had to pull her off his back, they said. And you guessed it, she too got an interfering charge.

The morale of the story -- cops are one big family too.
