    An Ansonia man and two friends are accused of trying to several steal cases of Red Bull from a supermarket in North Branford.

    The loss prevention officer saw a man load several cases of the sweet red drink into a shopping cart and try and run out of Big Y market with the drinks around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

    The store employee chased the man, who abandoned the cart when he was confronted, police said.

    The alleged Red Bull perpetrator jumped into a car occupied by a male driver and a female passenger and the vehicle sped off, police said.

    A Branford police officer on Interstate 95 stopped a vehicle matching the description broadcast to police and the loss prevention officer identified the three people in the vehicle, police said. They were arrested and brought to the North Branford Police Department, where  Andrew Spino, 23, of Ansonia was charged with sixth-degree larceny and Alana Fiorentino, 23, of Northford, and Vincent Richitelli, 24, of New Haven, were charged with conspiracy to commit larceny, sixth degree.
