Tickets for ‘Hamilton' at the Bushnell On Sale Now

The national tour of the award-winning Broadway show will be coming to Hartford in December.

The national tour of the hit Broadway show "Hamilton: An American Musical" is set to make its Connecticut debut this December and tickets went on sale to the general public Saturday morning.

Customers were able to buy tickets online starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 through The Bushnell's website.

The theater's box office will also be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Excited fans began lining up Friday night and some waited more than 20 hours to buy tickets.

Jerry Cusack stood in line for 20 hours, all to get his hands on tickets to Hamilton The Musical. He was the 12th person in a line of hundreds of people. It wrapped down Capitol Avenue and around the corner of the Bushnell.

“New York, they come in front, argue and fight and cops, all my god it’s hectic, it’s not civilized. And this has been nice,” Cusack said.

“I’m here because my daughters want me to go, but it’s big. It’s all around the country and for Hartford to get this is a really big thing,” Dino Peruccio, of Manchester, said.

The Bushnell said they haven't seen this many people line up for tickets overnight in 12 years, since the Lion King first came to Hartford.

'Hamilton' will be stopping in Hartford from Dec. 11 to 30.  The tour's visit to Connecticut was announced in March 2017.

Ticket prices range from $68.50 to $498.50, depending on the level of seat.

Bushnell "2018-2019 Broadway Series" members will receive tickets for the show as part of their subscription, but donors to The Bushnell will have the opportunity to buy limited additional tickets ahead of the public sale date.

The Bushnell has set up a special website with information about the show.
