Swirls of grass are missing after someone drove all over a ball field in Ridgefield and police are trying to identify the driver who caused extensive damage.
Police responded to Shadow Lake Ball Field around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday to investigate a criminal mischief complaint and found tire marks all over the field.
A photo posted on the police department’s Facebook page shows crisscrossed tire tracks and divots marring the appearance of field.
As officers investigate, they are trying to determine what kind of vehicle was involved and when the damage was done.
