One suspect is in custody and another person is on the run after tires were stolen from a car lot in Manchester early Tuesday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., Manchester police were called to a Manchester Honda surplus car lot, where two people had jacked four cars up on blocks and removed their tires, then took off into the woods and got into a vehicle, according to police.

Officers spotted the vehicle about 15 minutes later and pursued the men until they entered Coventry.

Coventry Police found the car a short time after and a chase began again.

Police pulled the car over and apprehended one suspect. Police said the other person remains at large.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Manchester Police at (860)- 645-5500.
