The Tolland Fire Department is warning residents to be on alert after reports of solicitors posing as members of the fire department.
Fire officials said the incidents occurred on Walbridge Hill Road Monday around 7:30 p.m. The residents reported that the solicitors were riding in a fire truck.
The fire department reminds residents that their members do not go door to door or do phone drive solicitations and any suspicious activity should be reported to Connecticut State police.
