A driver crashed a pickup into the front of a liquor store in Branford on Monday night while trying to free the vehicle after hitting a wire.
Police said they responded to 317 East Main St. at 8:15 p.m. after the crash.
The driver was in the parking lot and backed away from the building, but hit a telephone pole guide wire.
As she tried to free the truck, the truck lurched forward and hit the building, causing significant damage, according to police.
No one was injured.
