Transit Still Affected After Blizzard

Mass transit is still impacted the day after a blizzard dumped more than a foot of snow in Connecticut, and two feet in some towns.

The travel ban Gov. Dannel Malloy issued for Tuesday has been lifted, but planes and trains might be delayed as the cleanup continues.

Amtrak is operating on a modified schedule in the Northeast today. 

The Acela Express and Northeast Regional service will operated a modified schedule between New York City and Boston, with some trains truncated or cancelled.
The Acela Express and Northeast Regional service that operates between New York City and Washington, D.C., will continue to operate on a modified schedule with some trains truncated or cancelled, including some trains that operate in Virginia.
The Vermonter, Keystone Service, and Empire Service will also run on a modified schedule with some trains truncated or cancelled. 
The Downeaster and Springfield Shuttle will resume scheduled service.

Bradley International Airport is open, but they said around 40 percent of departures and 17 percent of arrivals are canceled. There are also several delays, but airport officials expect to return to normal schedules later today.

CT Transit will resume regularly scheduled service today, but detours might be necessary. See alerts here to see how your route is affected. 

Megabus canceled several services in the Northeast because of the storm.

Metro-North Railroad will operate on a modified weekday schedule today for morning peak service. Customers should affect crowded conditions and train delays

Peter Pan Bus Lines resumed normal service at 5 a.m. today.

Shore Line East is returning to normal service today.
