Three people were rescued from the Farmington River after their canoe flipped over on Sunday.

Three people were rescued from the Farmington River after their canoe flipped over on Sunday.

The Riverton Fire Department launched a rescue effort just off of River Road at around 4:00 p.m. for two adults and a child who had fallen into the Farmington River. 

 All three occupants were safely rescued, fire officials said. No serious injuries were reported to either of the adults or the child on-board.
