Two people are facing assault and other charges after a “brawl” broke out at a Madison hotel just after midnight on Saturday, police said.
According to police, 911 callers said that up to 10 people were fighting in the lobby of the Madison Beach Hotel at 94 West Wharf Road. Police learned that the people involved had been attending two separate events held simultaneously at the hotel, and that one person had attacked a family member.
Nine officers responded to the incident, one of whom used his Taser to arrest a suspect “due to the non-compliance of one of the assailants,” police said.
At least four people were injured and property was damaged, police said. No police officers were hurt.
Two people were arrested and accused of initiating the attack.
