Two Cars, House Catch Fire in Gales Ferry

Police and fire officials are investigating a fire that engulfed two cars and part of a home in the Gales Ferry section of Ledyard yesterday.

According to police, authorities responded to the area of 14 Parkwood Drive in Gales Ferry around 9:15 p.m. Nov. 30. First responders arrived o find two cars and a portion of the house on fire, police said. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.

The extent of the damage is unclear.

Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
