Two Charged in North Branford Burglary

Two men have been charged with stealing copper from a North Branford home.

Police responded to the Williams Road area to investigated a suspicious vehicle early Tuesday morning. While checking out the car, officers saw two men walk out of the woods carrying a large gym-type bag, according to police.

They stopped the men and determined the two had just committed a burglary at a home at 77 Foxon Road, police said.

According to police, Joshua Sabetta, 25, and 21-year-old Kyle Gildersleeve broke into the unoccupied home and stripped it of copper pipes and wiring. Both men live in North Branford.

Sabetta and Gildersleeve were charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy to commit burglary and larceny.

Both men were held pending Tuesday court appearances.
