Two Drivers Injured in Head-On Crash

Two drivers were hospitalized with injuries after their vehicles collided head-on early Sunday morning in Plainfield.

Police responded after receiving a 911 call at 1:52 a.m. about a two-vehicle head-on crash on Route 14A in town.

Wayne J. Dowdell, 51, of Plainfield, was traveling west in his Dodge Quadcab on Route 14A when Kacie Pasay, 22, coming from the opposite direction, pulled into his lane and struck the front of his vehicle.

Dowdell was taken to the emergency room at Backus Hospital to be treated for cuts and a hand injury. Passay was transported to the hospital to be treated for lacerations and abrasions.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
