Two people were hospitalized after a serious crash in Middletown early Sunday morning.
A 2009 Nissan Altima Reynaldo Ruiz, 38, of Middletown, was driving southbound on Westlake Drive collided head-on with the 2002 Toyota Camry Valeriana Debrito, 53, of Rocky Hill, was operating as she got onto Westlake Drive from Rising Trail Drive, police said. The crash happened at about 3:16 a.m. Sunday.
Debrito wasn't injured, but Ruiz and his passenger were taken to Hartford Hospital to be treated for injuries.
The passenger was seriously injured, but police are not releasing her name until her family is notified.
