Two Injured in Four-Car Wallingford Crash

Police are investigating the four-car crash that sent two people to the hospital in Wallingford on Friday night.

According to police, the cars collided around 11 p.m. on Route 5 near the Wallingford/North Haven town line when one driver heading northbound tried to make an illegal U-turn.

Two people were taken the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Route 5 was closed while police investigated the crash and worked to clear the scene.

State police and North Haven police provided mutual aid.

Police are still investigating.

It’s not clear if anyone will face charges.
