A man involved in a weekend jet ski accident on the Connecticut River has died.

Christopher Schoen-Kiewert, 34, of Meriden, was operating the jet ski when it collided with a boat in the river near 80 Harbor Park in Middletown around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

He was flown by Life Star to Hartford Hospital, and died of his injuries Monday, according to officials from the Department on Energy and Environmental Protection.

A passenger on the jet ski, 31-year-old Danielle Tardif, of Meriden, was released from Hartford Hospital after being treated for minor injuries.
