Man Died of Self-Inflicted Gunshot to Head in West Hartford: Police

A 32-year-old West Hartford man who was critically injured in a shooting on Sunday died on Monday morning and investigators determined he shot himself in the head.

Police officers responded to 38 Jackson Ave. at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday to investigate reports of gunshots and found a woman outside the house with three children. Inside the house, they found Michael Fuller, 32, as well as a child.

Fuller was transported to a hospital and died at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.

The woman, who has not been identified, was shot in the left forearm and has been released from the hospital.

Authorities said they are investigating the case as a domestic incident and no criminal charges have been filed.

Fuller and the woman are the biological parents of the four children, according to police. None of the children were injured and they were released to other family members.
