Two MTA Trains in Sideswipe Accident

2 Metro North trains sideswipe in Ridgefield, CT causing the track to be closed for the night.

Metro North Police are investigating an accident involving two Metro North trains near Route 102 and Route 7 in Ridgefield.
The two passenger trains with a few dozen riders on board sideswiped one another just after 10pm Friday night, police said.
A wheel on one on the trains fell off as a result of the accident.
No injuries were reported on either train but train service was suspended on the MTA Danbury Line for the remainder of the night.
