NBC10.com

Two people were taken the hospital Saturday night after their motorcycles collided in Coventry, police said.

Shawn Willis, 45, of Vernon, and Louis Ciampa, 41, of Manchester, were both injured in the crash. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

It happened on Merrow Road shortly before 11 p.m. The street was closed while police and fire officials worked to clear the scene, authorities said.

LifeStar was called but wasn't able to respond because of poor weather conditions.

Both motorcycle drivers were taken to local hospitals.

Police are still investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
