Two Pedestrians Struck in Old Saybrook

Two men were struck by a car at the intersection of Route 1 and Jade Court in Old Saybrook early Saturday morning according to police.
 
Police and emergency personnel responded to the scene around 4 a.m. They found two men in their 20’s suffering from injuries sustained after being struck by a motor vehicle. One man was transported by LifeStar and the other by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
 
According to Lt. Kevin Roche, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
 
Old Saybrook Police Detectives and the Accident Reconstruction Team are on the scene investigating.
