Uber Offering Free Flu Shots in Hartford Tuesday

Uber is offering Hartford users free wellness packages and flu shots to help the public prepare for flu season.

Hartford is one of several cities across the country where Uber is offering the service, according to the company’s website.

To take advantage of the program, Uber users just need to open the app, request the “health” option to schedule a place for delivery. The program runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Participants will receive a free care package and the option to receive the Fluzone vaccine for up to five people. The shots are administered by registered nurses from Passport Health and are only available for ages 4 and up.

Uber expects there to be high demand for the service and asks for patience when scheduling your appointment.

Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin will join Uber company representatives at 2:15 p.m. to support the program.
