Graffiti, including upside down crosses and “Woodland C,” have been showing up in public places, including school playgrounds and parks on the West side of Milford, and police are trying to determine who is responsible.

The graffiti, done with spray-painted or a marker, started showing up in September, police said.

Silver Sands State Park and Mondo Trails on West Avenue are among the areas that have been targeted.

Police ask anyone with information to call Detective Haas at (203) 783-4771, email whaas@ci.milford.ct.us or submit a tip through the police station Web site.
