Viagra Made Him Do It: Report

A Bridgeport man was accused of lewd behavior in two department stores.

A 23-year-old Bridgeport man is blaming Viagra for some lewd sexual behavior in front of women in two local stores.

Police said Jean Leconte, 23, claimed to have been overwhelmed after taking the erectile dysfunction drug. So overwhelmed, according to the Connecticut Post, that he masturbated in front of a woman in the pillow section of a Kohl’s store in July 2010.

She felt something touch her back and turned around to find Leconte standing behind her performing the act, the Post reports. Another woman reported similar behavior at a Marshalls store in September 2010, the Post reports.

Leconte was placed in a special probation program on Monday called psychiatric accelerated rehabilitation and prohibited from taking Viagra during the probation. The court records have been statutorily sealed.

If he successfully completes the treatment program, authorities could dismiss charges including fourth-degree sexual assault, breach of peace, public indecency and obscenity.

The Post reports that a prosecutor objected to the judge's decision because Leconte won't have to register as a sex offender.

The Associated Press left a message on Tuesday at a phone listing for Leconte.
