Victim of Sunday Crash in Waterbury Dies

A Waterbury man died after being involved in a crash on Sunday.

A 38-year-old man who was involved in a one-vehicle crash in Sunday night died on Monday afternoon.

Police said Alexander Soto was driving a 1981 Toyota Corolla at a high rate of speed south on Chase River Road when he lost control of the car around 8 p.m. and crashed.

Soto was in critical condition when an ambulance transported him to Waterbury Hospital for treatment of internal injuries. He died on Monday afternoon, police said.

Soto was the only person in the car when the crash happened.
