Video Game Spat Ruins Father's Day in Vernon

A couple’s video game tiff got so noisy that it upset the woman’s son and ruined Father’s Day in Vernon, police say.

George Stein, 54, was playing video games on Sunday night when his girlfriend’ a child got annoyed by the noise and shut the door to the room, police said.

Stein then got angry and grabbed some kind of weapon, which led his girlfriend's son to call police, cops said.

When cops arrived, Stein’s girlfriend, April Devaux, 42, became combative, refused to let go of a front porch post and spat in an officer's face, police said.

Devaux was charged with assault on police and other crimes, while Stein was charged with threatening. Both posted bail.

The Associated Press left a message was left at the couple's home on Monday.
