Virginia Fugitive Arrested in West Haven

A fugitive murder suspect in Virginia was arrested in West Haven on Friday a Community Resource Officer found a man acting suspiciously on the city green.

Police said William Henry Potts, 70, of New Haven, was “attracting attention to himself by his actions,” according to police.

When officers spoke with Potts, they learned he was wanted on a violation of probation for murder from Norfolk, Virginia, police said.

Potts was arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice.  He will be extradited to Virginia for his warrant.
