Crews are responding to a fire service line break in the area of 405 Sullivan Avenue in South Windsor.
It was initially reported to be a water main break, but Connecticut Water crews responded to the scene and discovered the affected pipe to be a fire service line most likely connecting to the sprinkler system at East Rock Inc.
Police said an officer noticed water bubbling up from underneath the pavement while on patrol in the area.
No residents have been affected by the break. No road closures are in place.
It's not clear exactly when the break will be fixed.
