The South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority is working to fix a water main break on Church St. in Ansonia.
As of 11:30 a.m., about 30 homes were without water. On top of that, a substantial number of customers, including Griffin Hospital, are experiencing a discoloration of their water.
The discoloration is a result of the initial drop in water pressure when the main broke. Customers are advised to run the water for a few minutes to clear the discoloration.
Official say the break will take several more hours to repair.
