Waterbury Woman is State's Third Swine Flu Death

A woman in her 40s is the third person in the state to die after contracting swine flu.

She had been treated at Waterbury Hospital for a respiratory ailment before being diagnosed with swine flu. She died early Monday morning.

Waterbury Hospital officials confirmed that the swine flu "is believed to have played a contributing role in her death," according to a statement released Monday afternoon.
