West Haven Man Charged With Four Counts of Arson



    Thomas Schall has been charged in connection with four cases of arson.

    West Haven police have charged a 29-year-old local man accused of four separate cases of arson at his apartment building.

    Police said Thomas Schall, of 711 Savin Ave., is suspected of setting fire to a large trash bin, a trash chute and removing fire extinguishers from the apartment hallway.

    He was charged with arson in the third degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, reckless burning and two separate counts of criminal mischief in the first degree.

    According to court documents, the incidents happened on Nov 13. Nov 19 and Nov. 20.

    Bond was set at $70,000 and he is due in court on Jan. 16, according to court documents.
