West Haven police are probing a suspected murder-suicide after a man, arrested on allegations of family violence, violated the terms of his release and returned to his home.

Police say Selami Ozdemir was arrested for family violence offenses at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.  He was released on bond and prohibited from returning home until after a court appearance.

But police said his wife, Shengyl Rasim, called police around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to report that Ozdemir returned home and was banging on the door.  Police responded, but said he had already left the scene.

About a half hour later, police received another 911 call from the home.  After forcing entry into the home, they discovered the couple's bodies inside, both dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police are investigating, but are not looking for other suspects.
