Woman Arrested for Assaulting 65-Year-Old

    Candace Morehouse is accused of breaking into a Bristol home and assaulting a man.

    Bristol Police have arrested a woman who is accused of breaking into a home and attacking a 65-year-old resident.

    Police responded to a call of a disturbance at 197 Davis Drive on Sunday night and said Candace Morehouse, 45, of Bristol, brke into the home, damaged property and attacked the resident.

    The victim was injured, but did not need to be transported to the hospital.

    Morehouse is charged with burglary in the second degree, assault on a victim 60 or older, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

    According to police, Morehouse was acquainted with the victim.

    Police said this incident seems to be unrelated to a recent  string of burglaries in the area. In those incidents, intruders cut or removed window screens and burglarized homes while the residents were sleeping.
