A woman fighting with her ex-boyfriend took it to extremes and hit him with her car, Plainfield police said.

Rebecca Lynn Staplins, 23, rammed the unidentified man after he walked away from her during the fight outside a convenience store, investigators said.

The victim rolled up onto the hood and windshield of Staplins' car, but was not seriously injured.

Staplins is charged with second-degree assault, threatening and violation of a protective order.

She was being held on $25,000 bond and was scheduled to be arraigned in Danielson Superior Court Wednesday.
