Woman Took Hammer to Ex’s Car: Cops
Police said the woman smashed the vehicles and slashed the tires.

Police said a woman used one of these as a weapon on her ex's car.
In her hit song "Before He Cheats," Carrie Underwood sings of taking a “Louisville slugger to both headlights” of an ex’s “pretty little souped up four-wheel drive.”
Milford cops have arrested a Stratford woman accused of doing something similar when she allegedly took a hammer to an ex’s car.
Police charged Nakia Hurdle, 36, with breach of peace and criminal mischief after an incident in the parking lot of a hotel on New Year's Day.
Police said they received a complaint of a disturbance Sunday around 9 p.m. about someone vandalizing a car in a hotel parking lot on Old Gate Lane.
After investigating, officers said Hurdle had taken a hammer to the car and cut two of the tires.
The owner of the car is Hurdle’s “former companion,” according to a news release from police.
She was released on bond and is due back in court on Jan. 17.
