Rather than depositing cash at the bank, a Vernon woman deposited her car!

An 84-year-old woman lost control of her car in a plaza on Hartford Turnpike Wednesday morning, smashed into two parked cars and then crashed right through the back wall of the Connecticut Bank and Trust, police said.

No one inside, or outside, the bank was hurt.

The driver was not ticketed, but police did take her license away. She will have to be examined by a doctor and be re-tested by the DMV to get it back, police said.

There was no structural damage to the building, so it's business as usual at the bank as cleanup and repairs continue.
