Women Nabbed in Regional Store Theft Ring: Cops

New Hampshire police found a random assortment of stolen items in the car.

Two West Haven women accused of running an organized retail crime ring have been arrested in New Hampshire.

Employees of Jo Anne Fabrics, in Concord, New Hampshire, called police on Thursday to report that two women were stealing merchandise from the store.

When police pulled the car over on Interstate 93, they found several black trash bags containing stolen merchandise piled in the back seat, police said.

The items had been stolen from several stores in Concord and many other stores throughout New England, police said.

A photo of the items shows a random assortment of things, from scissors to straws, plates and pet products.

Jennifer Collins, 36, and Rebecca Gargiulo, 35, were arrested just before 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Collins was charged with organized retail crime enterprise, possession of a control drug and transportation of a control drug.

Gargiulo was charged with organized retail crime enterprise.

Both were held on $50,000 cash bail each at the Merrimack County Jail and will be arraigned at the 6th Circuit District Court Concord Division on Friday.
