Workers at a supermarket in Hartford were able to overpower a potential robber and detain him with duct tape until police arrived on the scene Friday night.

Hartford Police were called to the Carmen Supermarket, 651 Albany Ave. around 10:15 p.m., Friday night for a reported attempted robbery.

When they arrived, store employees told them that the suspect, a teenage male, entered the store wielding a baseball bat.

A struggle ensued between the robber and store workers. The workers were able to overpower the robber and bind him with duct tape until police arrived.

The identity of the suspect will not be release because he is a minor.
