Worries Over Earl Lead to Early School Dismissals

While standardized test scores have improved on the margins, California public school students continue to underperform.

Hurricane Earl was still hours away from any impact on Connecticut Friday morning, but some school districts in Connecticut were not taking any chances.

Though Earl is not forecast to make a direct hit on Connecticut, several districts have decided to dismiss students early ahead of the storm's arrival.
