“No glove, no love,” is the sincere message that UConn students have heard over and over again from health-care professionals, parents and peers. But now, Huskies are being informed about safe sex from an unusual source.
PartyPhase UConn, a public relations group that keeps students updated on weekend events around campus, will be hosting its first-ever “Safe Sex Party,” at The Sports Bar in North Windham on Saturday, Dec. 4.
Attendees are encouraged to wear red to promote Safe Sex Awareness and the party will be poppin’ from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Planned Parenthood and AIDS Awareness information will be given out, as well as lots of free condoms, of course.
KISS 95.7 FM is set to spin the beats on Saturday with special guest DJs, giveaways, raffles and more. Sex on the Beach cocktails will be available for $2 and there will be cheap beer specials.
Loud music and dirt-cheap booze definitely don't sound like ingredients the recipe for safe sex to us, but at least the aforementioned free condoms will add some sense of security? Lets hope that PartyPhase UConn gets its message across successfully on Saturday.
