The Hartford Yard Goats have wrapped up a heavily-attended June at the ballpark and are hoping for an equally successful July.
The team has sold out 17 of its home games, including all seven Friday night games. The team's largest crowd of the season was for the home opener on April 13 and again on July 2 when they had 6,850 in attendance.
The Yard Goats were the second fastest team in the Eastern League to reach 200,000 fans, a mark they set on July 2. The team reached 100,000 fans on May 21 after just 21 home games.
After a busy first three months of the season, the team is hoping for a busy July with the help of a couple key promotions, including Whalers Alumni Weekend and "What If" Night, said promotions manager Dana Feigenbaum.
Feigenbaum said even if the seats are all sold, come over to the box office and get a standing room only ticket. "There are so many bars and areas in the ballpark you can go where you don't need a physical seat," she said.
