10 People Displaced by East Windsor Apartment Fire

Ten people in four families have been displaced by an early-morning apartment fire in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, fire officials said.

Authorities said the fire broke out at an apartment complex at 35 Mill Street/Route 191 just after 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

The fire started in apartment 35A and was contained to an office-type room there. Fire officials said the building sustained heavy smoke and water damage and has been condemned.

The Red Cross is assisting eight adults and two children who lost their homes.

No one was injured in the fire.
