Four people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a crash on Avon Mountain Wednesday.
West Hartford police said two cars were involved in the crash, which happened in the area of 2900 Albany Ave. It is under investigation but it seems one of the drivers may have had a medical emergency, according to police. One of the vehicles crashed off the road and down an embankment into the woods.
Albany Avenue (Route 44) was closed between Mountain Road and the Avon town line while crews repaired utility poles that were damaged in the crash. It has since reopened.
The West Hartford Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating.
