Fourth Person Charged in Brooklyn Bridge Attack on Cops

A fourth suspect has been charged in last week's attack on two officers during a protest over the death of Eric Garner on the Brooklyn Bridge, police say.

Cindy Gorn, 29, was charged Sunday with resisting arrest, riot and obstructing governmental administration, police say. She is one of the seven demonstrators suspected of attacking NYPD Lts. Philip Chan and Patrick Sullivan as the two officers tried to arrest CUNY adjunct professor Eric Linsker late on Dec. 13 on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Video of the attack was later posted to YouTube. It showed seven suspects pushing, kicking and punching the officers as they tried to detain Linsker. Linsker, who was suspected of attempting to throw a garbage can off the bridge and onto a roadway below, was able to escape during the attack but was later arrested.

Zachary Campbell, 32, Marcia Garcia, 36, and Robert Murray, 43, were all also arrested in the attack. Three other demonstrators are still at large.

It wasn't immediately clear if the attack suspects had lawyers. Linsker's attorney has said that there was no indication his client was involved in the attack on the officers.

The attack happened at the end of a massive march protesting a grand jury decision not to indict a police officer in Garner's death.

The decision has inflamed relations between the NYPD, the public and city officials and was cited in an Instagram post by a gunman who shot and killed two officers Saturday in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood before running into a subway station and taking his own life.
