Goat Becomes Friends With Tiger Who Was Supposed to Eat It

Something strange happened when a goat entered a Siberian tiger's enclosure at a safari park in Moscow.

The intended four-legged meal surprised everyone. Instead of becoming an edible delight, the goat named Timur has become friends with Amur the tiger.

The courageous goat was sent into the tiger's enclosure earlier this week as one of the predator's twice-weekly meals, the Russian Primorsky Safari Park said Thursday.

However, no one had taught the animal to be afraid of tigers. Timur chased the big cat from its resting area. Timur has been using his spot for four nights now and Amur has been sleeping on the shelter's roof.

Siberian tigers are the world's largest cats, endangered, and live in eastern Russia's birch forests, according to National Geographic. There are an estimated 400 to 500 Siberian tigers living in the wild and beyond Russia, some exist in China and North Korea.
